it’s history. it’s poetry.

among other things, you’ll find that you’re not the first person who was ever confused & frightened & even sickened by human behavior. you’re by no means alone on that score, you’ll be excited & stimulated to know. many, many men have been just as troubled morally & spiritually as you are right now. happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. you’ll learn from them – if you want to. just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. it’s a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. & it isn’t education. it’s history. it’s poetry.

start your day off well.

we are always rushing rushing rushing & forgetting to feel the world beneath our feet, the blood in our veins. maybe if we could all. just. stop & let ourselves breathe we could smile more & have hearts that pump pump pump to a new beat.

morning routine:
1) wake up.
2) lay in your bed & look at the ceiling.
3) say: hello world, hello day.
4) lay & listen to your breathing.
feel the blood coursing through your veins.
notice your skin waking up with you.
3) stand & stretch.
side to side.
touch your toes.
touch the earth.
touch the sky.
4) look in the mirror.
say hello to yourself.
give yourself one compliment.

home–noun 1. a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household.

what does home mean to you?
home should be a place, any place, where you feel beautiful, wanted, safe, & loved. sometimes “home” is not a tangible thing but more of a feeling. home can be the house you grew up in or the person’s arms you feel safest in. home can be that feeling you get when you’re listening to your favourite song or the feeling you get when driving to the ocean in the middle of the winter. no matter how you define home, you should always carry a map to it. carry that map deep within your heart so you can never lose it no matter what. if you cannot think of a place to call home, make this your home. we’ll keep you safe, we’ll keep you warm, we’ll make you feel beautiful, we’ll never let go.

i carved a map in the back of my arm, so don’t worry i’m coming home.
-down to your soul, right away great captain.

i love how you love me.

i love how your eyes close, whenever you kiss me. & when i’m away from you, i love how you miss me. i love the way your kiss is always heavenly but darling most of all i love how you love me. i love how your heart beats, whenever i hold you. i love how you think of me without being told to. i love the way your touch is always tenderly but darling most of all i love how you love me.
